Hello,

I wanted to introduce myself. I am Pastor of Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Farmington, Arkansas. A few of you know me, and some of you know me too well  . I am a firm believer in God's Word, and in being a Landmark Baptist, it is difficult to see people and churches move the ancient Landmarks. I was raised in Duncan, Oklahoma, and after placing my faith in Christ alone, I was baptized by Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Duncan, Oklahoma. I later moved my membership to Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Duncan, and then went to the University of Oklahoma. During my first semester the Lord called me to preach, and after I surrendered to preach, I began to fill in supply all over Oklahoma. After a year, I moved my membership to Mission Home Missionary Baptist Church in Wewoka, Oklahoma, where I was the Associate Pastor for 3 years and the Pastor for almost 2. Unity called me as Pastor in September/October 2003 and I have been here since. The Lord has always been good to me, and I hope to learn from all here.

After reading a few posts here, I want to clarify and state that I believe:

1) That the KJV is God's perfect, inerrant, infallible, inspired Word in English (and any other adjective that means that it is God's word  ).
2) The Bible is the LORD'S program, and the only one a New Testament Church needs.
3) That Churches are Local, Autonomous Bodies of Christ. There is no such thing as a Universal, Invisible, Body of Christ.

I am sure that more of what I believe will arise later

Hi, Bro. Gonzales,

I also say welcome aboard. You mentioned Duncan, OK. Are you acquainted with Bro. and Mrs. Leon Hawkins? My mom and dad know them.

Brother Gonzales, welcome to the Landmark forum. May you find it useful and instructive.

Do you know Bro. Larry Jones? Seems I remember he was once at Mission Home, Wewoka.

Yes sir I know him  , He was the Pastor at Mission Home, and then was sent out as Missionary from them. I was the Associate Pastor of Mission Home when he was in Eufaula, and then I was the Pastor of Mission Home when he went to McCalester. I have folded and mailed out the Landmark Baptist paper that he publishes several times, but now Landmark Church in Vian,Ok has taken over that paper. Bro. Jones is still the editor, just switched supporting churches.

He has really helped me throughout the years, and I consider him a great friend.

Yes it is, He pastored Unity in Ada before he went to Mission Home in Wewoka. I think he wrote the Adult Sunday School literature as well while he was in Ada.

He sponsored a great Bible conference one year there with the theme: "BACK TO THE BASICS"
I was pastoring College Heights Baptist [BMAA] right up the street a few block and attended the conference.
